Keyword Initiative Program

Each month a positive character trait is displayed on a banner over Main Street.

These words reflect character qualities that are important for our youth. Each participant of MYA includes the character trait of the month in their agency as a way to tie the community together around these character strengths.

“Most Don’t” Youth Advisory Board

A group of teens grades 7-12 dedicated to reducing substance abuse in Middleboro. We celebrate the fact that most teens DONT use substance abuse. If you are a youth grades 7-12 and live in Middleboro, we welcome you to join us every 2nd Wednesday of the month from 3:30-5:00 at the Hub Community Resource Center- 23 Wareham Street, Middleboro MA! Communities Mobilizing for Change on Alcohol

CMCA is a community organizing effort designed to change policies and practices of major community institutions in ways that reduce access to alcohol by teenagers. Call Amanda at 508.947.0116 ex 10

Middleboro Youth Advocates Supports the Following Programs for Teens

SisterHood

A safe, fun, healthy place for girls to hang out and have fun! For girls only! Ages 12-17. Meets weekly at the Hub Community Resource Center- 23 Wareham Street Middleboro MA. Call Pam at the JAIRUS Agency for more information: 508.947.0116 ext 13

JAIRUS Teen 12 Step

A 24 week support program for teens (ages 13-18) who are working to control self-destructive behaviors utilizing the 12 Steps. The group meets on Mondays from 3-4pm.

JAIRUS Teen Anger Management

Middleboro Parent Support Group

Parents of teens and pre-teens meet weekly together to support each other. All parents/guardians of teens and pre-teens are welcome to attend. Meets Wednesdays at the HUB from 6:30-8:00.

Reading Express Workshop

The Reading Express Workshop is a 10 week reading intervention program for youth (3rd grade and up) that helps visual learners to improve their reading comprehension.
